Overview
Hillside Residential Care Centre is located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills suburb of Heathfield nestled amongst tall trees which are home to numerous species of birds. The centre is an easy 15km drive east of the city of Adelaide along the south-eastern freeway and a short 2km drive from the shopping, medical facilities and community hub of Stirling.
Hillside is home to 36 residents who enjoy single rooms with adjoining ensuites. There is one twin-share room. The centre also caters for residents with a diagnosis of dementia in a designated Memory Support Unit. Each bed has access to TV antenna and telephone sockets. Hillside Residential Care Centre sits back off Longwood road and is set in amongst the trees and wildlife.
Features of the centre Hillside Residential Care Centre is a centre which offers extra services. These services are focused around the quality of fittings and fixtures and the meal service and experience, including menu choices, wine or beer with meals and happy hour. There is Foxtel available in all the lounge areas with large screen TVs. Regular bus trips and BBQs are also held. There are many undercover outdoor areas which have been fully landscaped to allow the residents to spend time outdoors.
Lifestyle program The Hillside lifestyle program offers a wide range of single and group activities and outings. Consideration is given to the individual preferences of residents including their spiritual, cultural and lifestyle needs. There is a snack trolley with sweet treats which is also taken around regularly to residents. A hairdresser attends the centre once a week, and church services are conducted regularly. The site has access to a bus to assist with outdoor activities.
